Carpenter
Role overview
The Carpenter’s primary purpose is to construct project foundations and superstructures efficiently and accurately, maintaining a clear line of sight to downstream trade scopes. Success relies on delivering high-quality craftsmanship through active teamwork, effective collaboration, and a strong commitment to job site productivity.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret complex architectural and structural blueprints for custom home builds
- Execute premium forming systems, including ICF, FastFoot, and architectural boardform concrete
- Place high-precision concrete footings, walls, flatwork, and custom architectural stairs
- Pin, layout, and construct intricate floor, wall, and hand-cut roof framing systems
- Precision-frame rough openings for custom high-performance doors and windows
- Craft and install timber, exposed beam, and custom stair assemblies
- Integrate high-efficiency building envelopes, air/vapor barriers, and exterior sealants
- Coordinate framing precision to accommodate sub-trades (MEP, architectural millwork)
- Install detailed interior finishings, including window liners, casings, baseboards, crown, and custom trim build-ups
What you’ll need to succeed
- Red Seal (preferred)
- Full tools set (good to have)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Be keen with positive attitude
- Able to take directions
- Ability to read & interpret plans
- Willing to travel within lower Mainland
- Willing to learn, adapt to ever changing environment
COMPENSATION
Based on experience: $31 – $43/hour

Carpenter Apprentice (Level 3 & 4)
Role overview
The role of Carpenter Apprentice (Level 3 & 4) involves assisting in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures while gaining hands-on experience and technical skills. You will work alongside skilled carpenters, following safety protocols, and progressing through training to achieve full certification.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately cut materials and follow layout instructions
- Build slab-on-grade, suspended slab, and concrete stair forms
- Understand EZ Strip, ICF, and cone tie layout systems
- Frame structures from start to finish, including roof trusses, hand-cut roofs, and stairs
- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Understand wall assemblies, shear walls, backing requirements, and building envelope systems
- Safely operate hand and power tools
- Erect safe scaffolding and falsework
- Execute tasks efficiently with a focus on quality and safety
What you’ll need to succeed
- Full basic tools set (full set hand tools, level, impact gun)
- Be keen with positive attitude
- Knowledge of building science
- Able to take directions
- Ability to read & interpret plans
- Willing to learn, adapt to ever changing environment
COMPENSATION
Based on experience: $26 – $35/hour
